Five Tutorial Assistant positions are open at Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST) for eligible Tanzanian nationals. There are openings in the fields of interior design, inclusive education, health information science, and aquatic science and aquaculture technology.
Successful candidates will be hired on PUTS 1.1 compensation terms for the posts, which are located at the MUST Main Campus in Mbeya.

1. Tutorial Assistant – Aquatic Science and Aquaculture Technology
Number of Posts: 1
Duty Station: Main Campus
Remuneration: PUTS 1.1
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science in Aquatic Sciences and Aquaculture Technologies, Aquaculture, Aquatic Science, Fisheries, or Marine Science with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 from a recognized university.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend lectures, seminars, tutorials and practical training while understudying senior academic staff.
- Conduct tutorials, seminars and practical sessions.
- Assist in research, consultancy and outreach activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by relevant authorities.
2. Tutorial Assistant – Health Information Science
Number of Posts: 1
Duty Station: Main Campus
Remuneration: PUTS 1.1
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Systems with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 from a recognized university.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend lectures, seminars, tutorials and practical training.
- Conduct tutorials, seminars and practicals.
- Assist in research, consultancy and outreach activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by relevant authorities.
3. Tutorial Assistant – Interior Design
Number of Posts: 2
Duty Station: Main Campus
Remuneration: PUTS 1.1
Qualifications
Applicants must hold one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Interior Design Technology;
- Bachelor of Science in Interior Design; or
- Bachelor of Interior Architecture.
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 from a recognized university.

- Attend lectures, seminars, tutorials and practical training while understudying senior staff.

4. Tutorial Assistant – Inclusive Education

Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Education in Special Needs and Inclusive Education with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 from a recognized university.

- Assist in research, consultancy and outreach activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by relevant authorities.

- Must be Tanzanian citizens and not above 45 years of age.
