HESLB List Of Names Allocated For Loan 2026/2027 Academic Year The Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB) announced on Saturday, 10 October 2026, that it has allocated a total of TZS 535.7 billion in student loans and grants to 165,775 first-year students for the 2026/2027 academic year.
According to HESLB, the funds have been distributed as follows:
- 74,769 university students pursuing bachelor’s degree programmes have been allocated loans amounting to TZS 246.88 billion.
- 8,538 students pursuing diploma programmes have been allocated loans totalling TZS 22.9 billion.
- 873 students enrolled in the Samia Scholarship programme have been allocated loans and grants amounting to TZS 4.5 billion.
HESLB stated that the allocation process will continue to accommodate additional eligible applicants as their applications are processed and more students qualify for financial assistance.
The Board also encouraged loan and grant applicants to continue checking their application status through the SIPA (Student’s Individual Permanent Account) as the allocation process progresses.
